About Schwartz

I guess I will start with what you already know. I like big books and I cannot lie. I have always read, for as long as I can remember. I started reading as a child, I always loved books but in middle school they became my safe haven. As a bullied kid books were an amazing escape from the daily struggles of surviving middle school. I read addictively and lived vicariously through the worlds authors had painted for me. I must have read almost all of the babysitter series, as well as the animorphs series. R.L. Stine was a favourite.

I never lost my love of books as I grew. When the bullies stopped, there was no going back. I had become an addicted reader by that point. Picking up book after book, devouring pages, living in the pages with some of the greatest characters.

Now, books aren't my entire life. I now have four little angels that occupy most of my days. I found new purpose with the birth of my first son. Motherhood. I loved every moment of it and he taught me so much. Two and a half years later, I gave him a friend for life, my youngest son. I loved my boys and they quickly became great partners in crime, planning tricks, and getting into mischief together. A year and a bit later I finally got the girl I had always wanted, with a little twist of course, twins. My family was complete.

Now I devote most of my time to my blog, making it better, post by post. One of my twins has Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus. My oldest son has a form of aspergers. They are all in school, and life is a ride. There is never a dull moment, I'm always on my toes, and reading has become a tool for relaxation and a stress reliever.

On top of all of that, I also have a love for writing. I am currently in the process of writing a book (hopefully) that probably will not be completed for at least another year to come. I started blogging as a writing exercise, and also because I wanted to share my love of books with whoever may want to stop by and read the words I write. I enjoy helping out authors with reviews, interviews, cover reveals, and any other way that I may be able to help.

Basically, that is me in a nutshell. If you have any other questions, feel free to leave a comment and I will answer you back as soon as possible. Until then, keep reading :)

  1. I wish somebody had stood up for you when you were being bullied.

    1. I wish so too. But without my past, I wouldn't be where I am today. And I must say, I'm quite content with where my life has taken me :)

    2. Only one road leads to where you are :)

  2. I had pretty similar experiences growing up, and I also became interested in reading and writing. It's amazing how some people manage to draw such positive things from such negative experiences. Maybe that's a facility of the creative mind, and maybe that's one reason bullies target creative people. I'm sorry you went through that, but glad it made you stronger.
I've just discovered your blog and really like what I've read so far, especially the interviews. How's your own writing progressing?
